Introducing personal care

Supporting your independence at home.

A requirement for support with personal care may follow a period of ill health or a stay in hospital and may be something that you feel is needed on a temporary basis or more permanently, and we are aware of the impact that this can have on wellbeing and self-pride.

We can support you with every aspect of personal care, from bathing and showering, supporting with toilet needs, catheter care, bowel care, hair and skin care, dressing and undressing and monitoring and encouraging good skin integrity.

You will always be the centre of your support and the development of a person centred and bespoke support plan will record what support you need and how this is to be delivered, it is always about customer choice and keeps you in control at all times.

We also appreciate how difficult it can be for you to have someone supporting with personal care, our carers are fully trained and will support with the greatest of respect and will maintain your dignity at all times, they will always ask you what support is needed and how you wish this to be delivered, nothing is too much trouble or too difficult for our carers who will assist you to feel relaxed, safe and refreshed.

Our aim is to support you to maintain as much independence as you can with your own personal care, but if this is not possible, you can feel safe in the knowledge that our carers can complete all of your personal care with and for you.

Our carers can also assist with any meal preparation, you may need someone to help you in the kitchen to prepare meals and drinks or, you may prefer that our carers do this for you. With your preferences in mind, your carer will provide meals and drinks to your individual requirements, if you need help to eat, we can also support with this.

We also have access to our health partners in the speech and language teams who we can contact on your behalf if you need any assisted cutlery, cups etc or if there are any concerns or difficulties with your nutrition or swallowing.
Our carers will ask you if they can prepare any snacks/light meals to be left to be enjoyed throughout the day.
Your support plan will include all of your food and drink preferences, allergies and support needs and can be changed at any time.

What people say about us!

We have a track
record of providing
exceptional care.
Don't just take our
word for it!

Over the past two years, my nan used 3 different care agencies, but this one without a shadow of a doubt is the most compassionate of them all. The carers arrive on time, of course, and they genuinely go above and beyond to ensure that my nan is not only cared for but also entertained - I've walked in on a sing-along once before! Credit where credit is due - you are all fantastic, thank you!
